Westers Family Vineyard and Winery Wedding

Nestled in the Michigan countryside, located between Detroit and Grand Rapids, you’ll find Westers. Westers Family Vineyard and Winery isn’t only picturesque, but it is rooted in the love for gathering together your nearest and dearest to celebrate. Everything from the beautiful grounds, to the heart of their business, aligned with what Zach and Allie wanted for their June 2024 wedding. Their deep affection for their family and friends was woven in throughout their day! And the love from every guest they invited was reciprocated ten fold.

Including Special Family Moments In the Wedding Timeline

Allie and Zach were so thoughtful about how they wanted to spend their wedding day and who they spent it with. In their timeline we set aside a handful of moments dedicated to the special people in their life. They gave their parents custom gifts, Allie did a first look with her grandparents, and Zach smoked cigars with his dad and groomsmen. You better believe that if there weren’t tears during these moments, there was plenty of laughter!

Michigan’s Westers Family Vineyard and Winery Is Truly the Perfect Place For a Wedding

It made me so happy Zach and Allie had a beautiful wedding day from start to finish. As a Michigan girl I was a bit nervous about what the late spring weather would have in store for us – but let me tell you – the weather could not have been more perfect!

Nice weather meant we were able to take photographs at a variety of locations we planned for in the timeline. Truly though, the vineyard is so picturesque that it didn’t matter where we took a photograph, planned or impromptu, the backdrop was guaranteed to be beautiful! Don’t just take my word for it – look at the pictures!!

Vows Under The Willow Tree at Westers Family Vineyard and Winery

Shrouded in the dancing vines of a towering willow tree, Zach and Allie exchanged their private vows. It was storybook-level pretty. When it came time for the ceremony Zach still broke down in tears seeing Allie walk down the aisle. He just was in awe of her beauty and overcome with happiness getting to marry her! (And yeah, I could cry all over again just thinking about it!)

Reception Hosted In A Rustic Barn

This barn is the epitome of rustic done right! The barnwood mixed with modern touches created a warm and elegant space for everyone to gather for the reception. Shoreline Event Design really knocked Allie and Zach’s vision out of the park.

Golden Hour Portraits At The Pond

When Allie, Zach, and I snuck away for some golden hour portraits it’s hard to explain just how magical it felt. Yes, the lighting was a dream, but the atmosphere is what really struck my heart. Seeing how they really embraced this quiet moment they had to themselves – sitting on a swing, watching the sunset over the pond, listening to the sound of music and their loved ones laughing in the distance. They RADIATED happiness and Westers Family Vineyard and Winery brought the perfect backdrop for that!

Zach and Allie’s Michigan-Based Wedding Vendor Team

Zach and Allie had a vision and thoughtfully selected a team of vendors to bring that vision to life — and who they knew they could rely on throughout their wedding day!

The Venue

Clearly I could gush about Westers Family Vineyard & Winery for forever and a day, but it truly was a phenomenal venue! Everything from the grounds to the buildings and the service was pristine. It’s the perfect wedding venue for couples who want an really intimate, classy, and nature forward atmosphere on their wedding day.

The Hair and Makeup Artists

The hair and makeup artists, Nicole and Ashlyn, made sure Allie looked FLAWLESS. They even stuck around to make sure she stayed looking radiant by providing little touch ups. that she stayed looking radiant all day.

The Event Coordinator

Having a wedding coordinator there on your wedding day is truly invaluable. They keep the timeline running smoothly, manage the other vendors, and handle anything that might (will) go awry, likely without you even knowing! Shoreline Event Design’s coordinator, Sarah, did an excellent job doing exactly that for Zach and Allie’s big day.

The Videographer

Videographers work in tandem with photographers on wedding days, so it’s important for them to communicate and find a rhythm. Rodney, from Camera Kidd, and I were able to work seamlessly! Both of us kept the day on track and made sure the other had room to get the perfect angle.

The Photographer

Zach and Allie wanted a photographer who they could trust to capture the bond they shared with each other and their family through timeless portraits and emotional candids — aka ME! It meant the world to be when Allie told me she had dreamed of hiring me for years, and how trusting they both were from the very beginning. I felt so honored and could not be more ready or excited to be their wedding photographer.
